History

The SCCA Trans-Am Series began in 1966 and featured many classic muscle during the late 1960s and early 1970s with legendary driver Mark Donohue dominating the series.

Rocketsports racing was founded in 1985 by Paul Gentilozzi and has competed in a range of North American championships. Gentilozzi has won five Trans-Am Championships, his #3 Johnson Controls Jaguar XKRS was the fourth livery of this modern muscle car bearing the famous Jaguar badge.
