The new Citroen Xsara WRC PRO from SCX boasts a colour scheme in yellow and white with a host of logos and a prominent place for the Belgian flag, which appears in several places on this car, driven by the Belgian François Duval.
The front of the car is characterised by its two air intakes, one above the other. The lower one bears the CITROËN name and the upper one features the French manufacturer's logo. The car's small number plate is in the middle, with black letters and numbers on a white background, and the headlights are curved and swept back, giving this SCX® model an aggressive look.
The RACB, Goodrich and Arc logos appear at each end of the front bumper, filling it with colour. The bonnet is white, combined with the yellow which runs all along the length of this Citroën Xsara WRC PRO. Details on the bonnet also include the catches and over them a large OMV logo and the crest of the RACB. Next to these lines begin and run back towards the sides in the colours of the Belgian flag. Mention must also be made, of course, of the ADAC Rally Deutschland plaque.
Over the windscreen are two wipers and the word Citroen in large letters at the top, with the logo of the French manufacturer to either side of it. Inside this model are the driver and co-driver with their helmets and overalls in the authentic colour scheme. Also featured are the anti-roll bars and the spare wheel. In addition, the co-driver is holding the book of route plans in his hands to guide the driver.
The side view of this SCX® car is at least as colourful as the front. Logos, flags and sponsors' names fill the bodywork of this car, fitted with typical rally wheels carrying the manufacturer's logo – in this case, BFGoodrich. Over the wheel arches are the names Duval and Pivato, belonging to the Belgian driver and his French co-driver respectively, together with the flags of their countries.
The Belgian flag runs across the door of this Citroën Xsara WRC PRO. The Goodrich and Froid Naturel logos are shown on the side skirts and that of OMV on the door, which of course also bears the rally number, six, and name. The wing mirrors, which hardly stick out at all from the sides, have the Kronos logo printed on them.
The rear end stays with the general design of the rest of the car, bright and full of colour. The number plate is yellow, like the whole area above it, which features the RACB.COM name in large letters together with the crest of the organisation on either side. The large red tail lights have Kronos logos below them, and the colours of the Belgian flag appear once again on the left-hand side.
The bottom part of the rear end of the Citroën Xsara WRC PRO is white, but dotted with various logos. On the bumper there are BFGoodrich logos at the sides and that of OMV appears twice in the centre. In addition to the exhaust pipe, there are eye-catching smiley emoticons decorating the sides and on top the black double spoiler.
The driver's name appears once more together with his flag and race number both on the rear window and on the roof, which also bears the Citroen name, the Belgian flag on the air intake and the rally plaque. This SCX car with its attractive looks will be a welcome addition to the PRO range.
With the Citroen Xsara WRC the SCX PRO series takes you into the world of Rallyslot competition. A world where the models are not just imitations of the actual cars, but authentic scale machines designed to deliver performance and results on the track. Many of the most advanced technologies and ideas in today's competition are featured in a PRO car, which brings together the very best of old and new ideas. Someone once said that everything in a racing car serves a purpose, and if not it is not there. These cars come to you having been designed and developed on the same tracks as they are to race on.
The Rally-PRO Citroën Xsara WRC retains the classic SCX® 4x4 direct transmission and from this starting point a specialised chassis has been created to meet the demands of tough rally stages. The transmission system is arranged so as to give more speed to the front wheels, thanks to a crown gear with smaller teeth, in order to help the car come out of bends and recover. There are three crown gears and three different pinions, offering various possibilities.
The guide pivot and the low centre of gravity are the most outstanding features of the chassis. The motor is fitted in a position closer to the slot. The moving guide makes it hard to drive the Citroën Xsara WRC PRO off the track. The multiple settings on the chassis allow you to adjust a range of factors. All these modifications are easy to undo, which means that the car offers exciting possibilities for tuning up.
The performance of this SCX model is further enhanced by its shape in terms of measurements, heights and angles. All of them work together rather than individually to make this a car which gives a great feeling of safety while driving, with a strong sensation of hugging the road, which allows bold, competitive driving with no worries.
